IN THE SUPREME COURT OF GEORGIA THE WORK MEETING WAS HELD WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ACADEMY OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE

On October 29, 2015 in the Supreme Court of Georgia the work meeting was held with participation of the representatives of Finance Ministry’s Academy. At the meeting were attended by the judges of Tbilisi City Court Administrative collegium, judges of Court of Appeals and Supreme Court’s Administrative Chambers.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss events that would facilitate and make quicker and more effective the revision of cases of tax category.  Specifically, the participants of the meeting discussed the following issues: the involvement of the Finance Ministry in the Common Courts electronic document-circulation system- electronic exchange of documents; The implementing of court disputes without announcements (preparatory, preliminary sessions at the beginning stage) by electronic involvement of the representative; Coming out from quick and effective judiciary and based on the principles of economy processes the issue of jurisdiction is to be made in accordance of two addresses of revenue service; rationalization of the deadlines for revision of revenue service cases in the court system, by means of adding to the quantity of judges and through establishment of the revenue collegium in the first instance court;  the separation of the Georgian Supreme Court decisions and the ensuring of more accessibility in the internet of the revenue service related cases.

At the meeting among participants was actively discussed the special situations that arise during the revision of the revenue service cases and the regulative norms for the latter. The opinion was expressed that based on the interests for improving the system it is important to use authority more widely in regards to the cassation court’s administrative cases admissibility, which will be oriented on completion through case revision.  Also, the existent legislative base in regards to the revenue sphere was discussed. 

The participants assessed the meeting as fruitful and beneficial and expressed willingness for extensive and constructive cooperation.
