The Supreme Court of Georgia and the "Transparency International - Georgia" will sign the Memorandum of Understanding

On October 9, 2015 the Supreme Court of Georgia and the NGO "Transparency International - Georgia” will sign the Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum envisages in the framework of cooperation of the Supreme Cassation Court and the non-governmental organization joint educational, research and analytical projects directed for strengthening effectiveness and development of quality of judiciary.

It should be noted that the Supreme Court and the "Transparency International" has been working on the third phase judiciary reform’s projects, which is connected to the software of electronic and random distribution of cases in the common courts that shall form the bases of impartial, transparent, and effective distribution of cases among judges that thereby change the existing mechanism based on alphabetical and sequential distribution.

After the signing of the Memorandum the presentation of "Transparency International" created program - the important clarification of the Supreme Court decisions’ search system will take place. The system will be available as for the judges, as well as for the persons involved in the justice, the academic community and the interested society.

The signing of Memorandum of Understanding, together with judges, will be attended by members of the High Council of Justice, international organizations and NGOs.
