The Scientific Advisory Board Meeting was held in the Supreme Court of Georgia

On 19 September 2015, the Scientific Advisory Boards regular session was held at Supreme Court in the direction of Criminal Law. The meeting was attended by the judges of the Common Courts, filed specialists, representatives of scientific and academic circles.
The subject of the review was the amendments made in the Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia related with the drug offense. In particular, what kind of expectations were from public with regard to these amendments, how the change of the sanction works in practice and brought it or not the real consequences for the persons convicted under this article. In the meeting was also discussed the composed case study in the context of mentioned norm.
The Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court continues to meet in the direction of variety of legal problems, Legislative amendments and case studies, which contributes to the development of law and generally high standard of justice.
