Statement of Administration of the Supreme Court on so called "Cables" case

On June 23, 2015, the TV company "Rustavi 2", in program  ” The choice with Giorgi Gabunia"  was broadcasted a report, which dealt with the so-called "Cables" case.

The Supreme Court of Georgia admitted that so called  "Cables” case is ongoing  court dispute,  the proceedings have not been completed, the next pre-trial hearing is scheduled on June 26 at 11 am (see. Link: http://tcc.gov.ge/index.php?m=443&newsid=7060)

During the Criminal proceedings the parties have equal rights and opportunities to appeal court decisions and procedural documents in accordance with procedural legislation.

Any application made by Supreme Court may be perceived as an attempt to influence the court, which will damage the interests of justice.

The Supreme Courts administration says that another comment and statement is inappropriate and contradicts the independent and impartial justice and legal interests of the persons involved in the proceedings.
