Student conference was held about the of appointment and promotion criteria of judges

On the 13^th of January 2014, Student Conference was organized under the auspices of the Association of Judges of Georgia. The conference was held in the hotel “Courtyard Marriot”.

The subject of conference was the criteria of appointment and promotion of judges. Conference was opened by the Chairman of the Association of  Judges MR. Zaza Meishvili, he spoke  about the reasons and the  future results of conference. Guests were also welcomed by the Chairmen of the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Students have presented the overview of the appointment and promotion criteria of judges in Georgia and in foreign countries.

Three students were chosen as winners and have been awarded by the commission.
