The Chairman of the Supreme Court met the journalists from Adzharia

On July 15, 2011, Konstantin Kublashvili, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, introduced the working outcomes of the Batumi City Court to the representatives of media from Adzharia region. The judges of the Batumi City Court attended the meeting as well. According to the final research, which was conducted by the support of international organizations in May of 2011, the big part of citizens trust the Batumi City Court. At the Batumi City Court, 68% of the respondents trust the court in full, while 16,9% - trust it partially. Besides, the number of citizens, who are satisfies with the court service, is high. 

As the Chairman of the Supreme Court stated to the journalists: “It’s the great service of judges and staff of the Batumi City Court, that the big part of citizens trust the court. Big part of civil and administrative cases are appealed at courts. In 2010, compare to previous year, the number of appealed civil cases increased by 42% and the administrative cases – by 99%. This fact, as well as the low percentage of appealed cases indicates, that the confidence level towards the court had risen and we wish this level to be increased as well”.
