APPLICATION OF RESTRAINT MEASURE - THE MAIN TOPIC OF THE DISCUSSION WITHIN THE MEMBERS OF THE GROUP OF COOPERATION

On March 20, 2013, the meeting of the Group of cooperation with the Court was held at the Hotel “Tbilisi Marriot”. The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili opened the meeting.

The theme of the recent discussion is Criminal Law issues, namely, the practice of application of restraint measures.

The Judge Mr. Merab Gabinashvili introduced to the participants the court statistics and tendencies of application of restraint measures.
Scientists, representatives of local and international NGOs, representatives of state agencies, the judiciary and the Bar Association members participated in the discussion.

The aim of the Group activity is the direct engagement of public communities in the process of reform of the judicial system.
