MEETING OF THE SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY COUNCIL OF THE SUPREME COURT OF GEORGIA

Within the scope of the scientific-advisory council, meeting with lawyers was held at the Supreme Court of Georgia. The meeting was led by the Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Chairperson of the Chamber of Civil Cases, Mzia Todua .

The meeting was attended by the member of the Association of Law Firms of Georgia, Giorgi Svanadze , Chair of the Georgian Lawyers for Independent  Profession Davit Lanchava and Deputy Business Ombudsman of Georgia Zurab Dznelashvili.

The judges of the civil and administrative cases of the Supreme Court , Assistants and the staff of the Supreme Court also participated in the meeting.

The topics covered at the meeting were as following: International Legal Aid in Civil Matters in the context of Private International Law International Civil Litigation; recognition and enforcement of decisions of foreign courts;  use of Foreign Law by the court of Georgia; determining the legal basis for recognition and enforcement of the decisions made by the foreign court on the territory of Georgia; issues of fulfillment of liabilities under the leasing agreement and  uniform practice of the Supreme Court.
