UKRAINIAN DELEGATION AT THE SUPREME COURT

Supreme Court of Georgia hosted a delegation from Ukraine, in order to get familiar with Georgian experience in juvenile justice.
The working group composed of the head of the Justice Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Head of National Security and Criminal Law Department of the Ministry of Justice, a judge of the Supreme Court, an expert of the Children`s Rights Fund of Ukraine, was welcomed by the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and HCoJ Nino Gvenetadze.
The participants discussed the results achieved in the field of juvenile justice in Georgia.
The Chairperson introduced guests with the experience of the Georgian side in the development and implementation of the new Code of Juvenile Justice, the Court prospects for Juvenile Justice Regulations related to diversion and mediation programs.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed prospects of further cooperation and sharing experience in future.
The guests visited the historical building of the Supreme Court and the "Museum of Justice".
