A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC VISITED THE SUPREME COURT OF GEORGIA

A representative from the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, a permanent member of the Supreme Court and chair of the Senate, Villiam Pohancenik, visited Georgia.
Mr.Pohancenik held a meeting with judges of all chambers of the Supreme Court of Georgia, The guest was welcomed by the deputy chairperson, Vasil Roinishvili, who provided the honorable guest with detailed information on structure and functioning of Supreme Court of Georgia , as well as the procedures of appointment of judges and ongoing reforms in the High Council of Justice of Georgia.
Attendants shared information of their judicairy experience, compared the Georgian and Slovak judicial systems and provided summaries.
As mentioned during the meeting, similar visits within the framework of cooperation between Supreme Courts are far more productive and important in bilateral relations , helping judges in experience sharing and professional improvement.
At the end of the meeting guests visited the historical building of the Supreme Court and the "Museum of Justice".
