High School of Justice hosted the XXIII Extraordinary Judicial Conference

High School of Justice hosted the XXIII extraordinary conference for judges on March 24 with participation of 276 out of 310 active judges. A member of the Conference Administrative Committee introduced the participants with the agenda –issue of early suspending of the member of HCoJ and Administrative Committee (Chairman), Levan Tevzadze and electing him a chairman of the Criminal Law Chamber of the Court of Appeal. Another issue raised at the conference was appointing a new member of HCoJ and the Administrative Committee chairperson. The participants of the conference proposed candidates of Tamar Oniani and Shalva Kakauridze for the vacancies: with 253 votes judge Tamar Oniani was elected a new member of HCoJ; with 275 votes Diana Parkosadze was elected a member of Administrative Committee of the Judicial Conference and with 217 votes judge Irakli Kopaliani became the chairperson of the Committee.
