Training Seminars for judicial Assistants

On February 15, 2018 a training seminar was held at the “Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel” within the framework of mutual project of EU and the Supreme Court of Georgia. The seminar was tailored for the staff of legal support of the Court of Appeal and City Courts, analytical units and judicial assistants and it was carried out by an expert, Jeremy McBride. The topic of the seminar was implementation of European standards of custodial measures into practice and brief overview of the experience of the common courts. They touched upon aspects of observance of European standards of human rights in the process of taking into custody, reasoning of the custodial measures, application of judicial control mechanisms and referring to European practice of the field. The participants had dynamic discussions around the covered topics.
