Presentation at the Goethe Institute

Published: 01/19/2012

On January 18, 2012, presentation of the two up-to-date publications, published by the Supreme Court, Constitutional Court and German Agency for Technical Cooperation, was held at the grand hall of the Goethe Institute.

The presentation was opened by Konstantin Kublashvili, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, who introduced the society with the legal dictionary (German-Georgian and Georgian-German) and collection of judgments of the German Federal Constitutional Court. The legal dictionary will assist students, practical lawyers and scientists. Publication of this kind of dictionary has been conditioned with the respect of great interest towards the German legal scientific literature in Georgia and in general, striving for the European space. The collection of judgments of the German Federal Constitutional Court complies all those basic “guideline” judgments explaining protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms recognized by the German Constitution, as well as principles of democracy and legal state. It’s important that on the base of the collection it is possible to compare the various provisions of the German basic law with the relevant norms of the Constitution of Georgia.
