The Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice delivered a Public Lecture at the MIA Academy

On 15 December of 2016, the chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice delivered the first public lecture within the new project of the MIA Academy to the students students of the bachelor’s and master’s programs.

The main topics of the lecture were judicial power and its independence, the Code of Juvenile Justice and the body of jury. The speaker discussed the international principles of juvenile justice and the Juvenile Justice Code of Georgia, which entered into force in January of 2016. Nino Gvenetadze outlined the existing accomplishments, challenges, implemented and planned measures in that field.

The public lecture was delivered in an interactive discussion format.
