The Meeting of the Scientific-Consulting Council in the Direction of Criminal Law

On December 6 of 2016 the regular meeting of the scientific-consulting council concerning the criminal legislation matters was held in the Supreme Court. The meeting was presided by the chairperson of the Supreme Court and High Council of Justice, Ms. Nino Gvenetadze.

Judges hearing the criminal cases, as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Justice and Prosecutor’s Office, discussed legal amendments’ package of the Criminal Procedure Code (elaborated by the Ministry of Justice) concerning the matters of hearsay evidence and drug use.

During the discussion the participants expressed their views on the project of the Action plan of 2016-2018 years on the Fight against Drugs that was elaborated within the frames of the interagency coordinating council.
