THE RENOVATED BUILDING OF THE BATUMI CITY COURT WAS OFFICILALY OPENED

On October 1st of 2016 the chairperson of the Supreme Court and High Council of Justice of Georgia – Nino Gvenetadze officially opened the renovated building of the Batumi City Court.
The LEPL Department of the Common Courts organized the following repairing and improvement works on the territory of the Batumi City Court and its vicinity: two meeting halls designated for the civil cases panel were updated and particular areas of the corridors and 4 rooms were rehabilitated; the dangerous zones, such as cracked walls were dismantled and the new and light constructions ( plaster and carton boards) were installed instead of the old ones; the fire safety system of the Court was improved; The Court building was equipped with the newest technique and items and was fully adapted for persons with disabilities. The rehabilitation works were also realized in the Magistrate Court of Kobuleti and the size of the Court archive was enlarged.
Nino Gvenetadze looked over the renovated Batumi City Court building and its vicinity and inspected the conducted rehabilitation works.
Secretary of the High Council of Justice - Levan Murusidze; Chairman of the LEPL Department of the Common Courts – Shota Qarchava; representatives of the local government and media attended the opening ceremony.
By the decision of the High Council of Justice made on August 7 of 2009 the Batumi City Court was established and its jurisdiction was defined within the administrative borders of Batumi and Kobuleti Municipality.
