ON JULY 16-17 OF 2016 AT THE HOTEL “ROOMS HOTEL IN TBILISI” THE TRAINING WAS CONDUCTED ON THE ISSUES OF “PUBLISHING OF THE COURT DECISIONS AND THEIR ACCESSIBILITY”

On July 16-17 of 2016 at the Hotel “Rooms Hotel in Tbilisi” was conducted Training on the issues of “ Publishing of the Court Cases and their Accessibility.” The training was attended by the responsible executives of Senaki, Khashuri, Ambrolauri, Khelvachauri,Sachkhere, Ozurgeti, Bolnisi, Akhaltsikhe, Telavi, Gori, Sighnaghi, Zestafoni, Zugdidi, Tetritskharo, Mtskheta, District Court of Akhalkalaki, Telavi, responsible executives on providing with the public information of Poti, Rustavi and Batumi City Courts, as well as public officials of Tbilisi City and Appeal Courts, of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Kutaisi City and Appeal Courts, Department of Common Courts.
Expert on ECHR Nana Mchedlidze considered decisions of European Court of Human Rights and interpreted the Convention for the participants on the problems of rights of freedom of expression and opinion and security of personal data. The former Commissioner of the Freedom of Information of Slovenia, expert, lawyer Natasha Pierce Mussar was invited to the Training. She introduced the International standards of availability of court decisions and among them problems of security of personal data and according to the electronic data base of the Court decisions of the Supreme Court of Slovenia examined the problems of publishing of the decisions. Head of the Legal Service of the Security of Personal Data Salome Bakhsoliani introduced the Inspector Practice to the Court officials on the second day of the Training. Judge of the Appeal Court of Tbilisi Tea Dzamistarashvili considered the practice of Common Courts of information providing.
The participants of the training were given the annual report and recommendations of the inspector for security of personal data, as well as the joint text-book on the “ European standards of the personal data security” elaborated by the Council of Europe and Human Rights Court.
The Training was organized by the Supreme Court in cooperation with the inspector for security of the personal data and with the support of the joint projects of the European Union and European Council: “Exercise of Convention of Human Rights in Georgia and adjusting the National Legislation and Court Practice to the European Standards” and “Strengthening of Freedom of Media, Professionalism and Pluralism in Georgia”.
