IN THE SUPREME COURT THE WORKING MEETING WAS HELD ON THE POSITIVE ASPECTS AND CHALLENGES WITH REGARD TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INSTITUTION OF SUPPORTERS

On June 25 of 2016  in the Supreme Court    the working meeting was held on the positive aspects and challenges with regard to the implementation of the   Institution of Supporters.  Judge of the Supreme Court Ekaterine Gasitashvili and the member of the Parliament of Georgia Tamar Kordzaia welcomed the audience.     

Within the frames of the working meeting the participants reviewed  existing legislation in details   related to the Institution of Supporters   and discussed the complex methods of coping with   the shortcomings revealed in practice. Videlicet, the participants presented in the regime of active discussion their opinions and ideas concerning the future development of the legislation in that sphere.

 Judges from the Supreme Court, Tbilisi and District Courts participated in the meeting, as well as the representatives of the Parliament of Georgia, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs, Agency of Social Service, Service of Legal Support, Levan Samkharauli Forensics Bureau, International and Non – Government Organizations.

The first discussion on the issues of the future prospects of the development of the Institution of Supporters was first held in the Supreme Court on May 5 of the current year   with the participation of relevant State structures and non-Government organizations.
