The second working meeting of the High Council on the Strategic Planning was held on the 6-7 of April

On the 6 – 7 of  April of 2016 in the Hotel “Rixos” located in Borjomi was held  the second working  meeting on the strategic planning of the  High Council with the participation of Chairperson of Supreme  Court and  High  Council of Justice Ms. Nino Gvenetadze.      

During the two - day meeting,  members  of the  High  Council of Justice and representatives of the staff adminiitration discussed the issues of the elaborating of the legislative strategy and namely, the participants considered the documents determining the policy of the European Union and the newest approaches of the  candidate countries. The meeting was presided  by the invited  expert, ex- Minister of Justice of Slovenia  and Chairman of District Court, Mr. Ales Zalar.        

During  the  meeting Mr. Ales Zalar introduced the participants with the best  European experience for elaborating of the main elements of the national strategy of the judicial reform. At the end of the meeting the members of Council came to the agreement to start preparation for elaborating of the legislative strategy and involve into this process  the representatives of Government, as well as NGO’s and members of civil society.     

The two-day meeting was held with the support of the Agency of the International Development of the USA(USAID), the Society  of   International Cooperation of Germany   (GIZ)  and East-West  Institute of Management (EWMI) within the project of the “Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia”.
