THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE SUPREME COURT AND THE HIGH COUNCIL OF JUSTICE , MS. NINO GVENETADZE PARTICIPATED IN THE CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL ON: “DISCIPLINARY VIOLATIONS OF THE JUDGES, PROPOSED LIST AND EXPLANATIONS”

On February 25, 2016 the Chairperson of the Supreme Court and the High Council of Justice, Ms. Nino Gvenetadze  at the “Rooms Hotel Tbilisi” participated in the conference organized by the European Council on the topic: “Disciplinary violations of the judges, proposed list and explanations”.

The chairperson of the Supreme Court and the High Council of justice, Ms. Nino Gvenetadze; the chairman of the disciplinary collegium of common courts, Mr. Giorgi Tkhavadze and the supervisor of the Georgian office of the European Council, Mr. Christian Urse presented towards the audience with welcoming speeches.

Reports were given around disciplinary violations and proposed lists and explanations and exchanging of opinions were held in active discussion format. In order to share international practice in the discussion participated the European Council’s international expert, the chairman of the Vern Floridspor regional court Mr. Gerhard Raisner.

 At the conference were presented representatives of the High Council of Justice, Public Defender office, the High School of Justice, Ministry of Justice and non-governmental organizations; the first deputy of the minister of Justice Mr. Alexander Baramidze, Judges of the Supreme Court, members of the disciplinary panel of common courts; the chairman of the Parliaments Legal Affairs Committee, Mr. Vakhtang Khmaladze and  the Advisor of the President of Georgia for Human Rights Protection and Justice Mr. Kakha Kojoridze.
