The representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey visited the Supreme Court

On February 22, 2016 the Supreme Court of Georgia hosted the delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Republic of Turkey. The members of the delegation were: The deputy Minister of Justice of Turkey Mr. Yuksel Kocaman; International Law and Foreign Relations Directorate-General, the Deputy Director, Mr. Ahmet Bacharan; Correctional institutions and detention centers Directorate-General, Head of the Department, Mr. Halil Ibrahim Dizman and International Law and Foreign Relations Directorate General, the investigating judge, Mr. Nursel Erdem.
The Chairperson of the Supreme Court and the High Council of Justice greeted the foreign gusts with welcoming speech. Nino Gvenetadze informed the delegates regarding the visions and priorities of the judicial system and also on legislative novelties that are planned within the third wave reform of judiciary.
The meeting was held in active dialog mode. The members of the delegation expressed great appreciation towards the chairperson of the Supreme Court and the High Council of Justice for reception. The parties also discussed future collaboration plans.
The Second Secretary of the Embassy of Turkey to Georgia, Mr. Ahmet Soner Ensaroghlu and the judges of the Supreme Court of Georgia attended the meeting.
The delegation of Ministry of Justice of Turkey are paying official visit to Georgia (21-24 February) and are holding meetings with the representatives of the judiciary and the executive branch of the government.
