Georgian Common Courts Forum

On 4-5th of August, 2012, The Common Courts of Georgia summarized the work done in the first half of 2012, in Batumi.
The conference was leaded by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia Konstantine Kublashvili and the Secretary of High Council of Justice Valeri Tsertsvadze.
The high Council of justice presented statistical data on the work of common courts of Georgia. The results demonstrate the growth of Efficiency of the work performed by judges. The time frames of proceedings are protected and the balance (remainder) of the cases to be discussed is reduced.
The members of the conference discussed the current issues of the judicial reforms, including Georgian standards of evaluation of the efficiency of the work performed by judges and foreign experience.
On the second day, current innovations, going on in the judicial system were presented. The members of conference were introduced to the operation of Georgian common Courts portal, projects of Electronic Library, quality management, free legal aid portal and other important projects.
Representatives from U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and East West management Institute (EWMI) were attending the conference.
The Conference was held with the support of Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment project (JILEP).
At the end of the Event, members visited Sataplia Cave and Renewed Anaklia City.
