On October 1st of 2016 the renovated building of the district court of Khelvachauri was officially opened.
Chairperson of the Supreme Court and High Council of Justice - Nino Gvenetadze; Secretary of the High Council of Justice - Levan Murusidze; Chairman of the LEPL Department of the Common Courts – Shota Qarchava; representatives of the local Government and media attended the opening ceremony.
The rehabilitation works of the building of the Khelvachauri district Court took three months and is considered one of the most ambitious projects conducted in the previous year by the LEPL Department of the Common Courts; The project covered the following works: capital repair of the roof and façade of the building; upgrading of the water – switching and supply pipework and drainage system, thus having resolved the problem of flooding of the Court yard during the rains ( so typical for the local climate). The vicinity of the Court was landscaped, grassed and redeveloped; outdoor lighting was also installed.
Nino Gvenetadze inspected the renovated infrastructure of the Court building and its vicinity and also saw over the meeting halls and equipped with the newest technique and items offices of the judges and staff.
The United District Court of Khelvachauri started to work on September 10 of 2009 and its jurisdiction was defined within the administrative borders of Khelvachauri, Shuakhevi and Khulo municipalities.
