“The mainstream of the action plan of the Council of Europe for the years of 2016-2019 in the system of Justice is implementation of the practice of the Court of Europe in the domestic courts’ decisions for guaranteeing protection of rights of the Convention of Human rights. For this very reason in the 6 courts of the big regions of Georgia, in its West and East parts the position of the consultant was instituted. The position maintains provision of information to the judges on the decisions of the Court of Europe. We strongly believe, that the success of the mentioned project will be followed not only by the implementation of the practice of Court of Europe in the domestic courts’ decisions, but the number of the grounded decisions will significantly increase, and all this together with the effective fulfillment of the recommendations of the Public Defender help raise the degree of justice and trust in the society” - marked Ms. Nino Gvenetadze speaking about the planned activities aimed at the improvement of the degree of Justice.
