The topic of the lecture was: “Juvenile Justice Reforms in Georgia.”
On the 14th of March of 2016 the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and High Council of Justice Nino Gvetadze delivered a lecture at Kakha Bendukidze University Campus. The topic of the public lecture was: ““Juvenile Justice Reforms in Georgia.”
The lecturer discussed the international principles of Juvenile Justice and the Juvenile Code of Georgia, having become operative in January of 2016. Nino Gvenetadze, the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and High Council of Justice marked, that the Juvenile Code of Georgia is an important innovation in the history of the Legislation of Georgia, as it has, as its goal establishing of the Crime Prevention system and facilitating rehabilitation and reintegration of the Juveniles being in trouble with the Law. The participants of the lecture were informed about the challenges and arrangements having already been accomplished and being planned in the sphere of Justice.
The public lecture was delivered amidst the dynamic discussion and attended by the students, representatives of the academic circles and legal practitioners.
