On January 28, 2016 the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice Nino Gvenetadze within the official visit in France was hosted by the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights - Niels Muižnieks.
The main topic of the meeting was the conclusion of the Council of Europe Commissioner, where the existing situation of judicial system was accessed. Nino Gvenetadze discussed the innovations, which provides the third wave reform of judiciary, among them the special attention was paid for the improvement of the standard of eligibility of cassation appeals in the terms of effective use of European Human Rights Court case law. Nino Gvenetatdze reviewed the projects and activities that are implemented by the judiciary with the assistance of international donor organizations in order to improve the quality of legal proceedings.
The parties expressed their readiness for close and intensive cooperation in topical issues dealing in judiciary.
At the end of the meeting the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice underlined that the firm priority of judiciary represents to establish European standard independent and impartial judiciary
