The discussion was held in the Supreme Court of Georgia by the participation of Council of Europe experts on the issues of rules of electronic distribution of cases

On September 8, 2015 at the Supreme Court of Georgia the workshop was held which refers to the judges randomly and equal footing distribution of cases through the electronic program. The meeting was attended by experts of Council of Europe, members of the High Council of Justice, judges and representatives of international organizations.
The participants addressed the Chairperson of The Supreme Court. Nino Gvenetadze stated: “The rules of electronic distribution of cases should create the bases of independent, impartial, transparent and effective legal proceedings. By envisaging the European experts experience and knowledge, we have to create a mechanism that will ensure impartial distribution of cases among judges, at the same time, under the conditions of growing number of court cases flow, the equal load standard is to be kept for judges.”
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia Cristian Urse, who positively assessed the judicial authorities striving for creation a smooth and transparent electronic distribution system of cases.
The participants expressed their opinions and suggestions on the draft program of the electronic distribution of cases. The experts of the Council of Europe Razvan Krasiuneskosa and Pavel Rebertsi participated in the review of concept.
The concept paper on electronic distribution of cases was prepared under the framework of the Third Wave reform of the judiciary and the amendments were made on the draft Organic Law on “Common Courts of Georgia”.
The workshops on the above mentioned issues will be continued, the nearest meeting is scheduled on September 14 in the High Council of Justice of Georgia.
