The Conference was held at the Supreme Court of Georgia on the decisions of the Constitutional Court and Legal Proceedings Practice

On June 15, 2015 the Conference was held at the Supreme Court of Georgia on “Decisions of the Constitutional Court and Criminal Litigation Practice.”

The conference was opened by the welcome speeches of Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Nino Gvenetadze and Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Giorgi Papuashvili.

On the Conference held in June 15, participants discussed the decision of the Constitutional Court on indirect evidence, as well as, the Common Courts practice in this regard. 

Nino Gvenetatdze underlined the important of the decisions of Constitutional Court in the process of reasoning of decisions made by the judges of common courts. Chairperson of the Supreme Court also emphasized necessity to develop more effective mechanism for interpretation of decisions of Constitutional Court and apply in the proceedings.

The conference was attended by the judges of common courts and constitutional courts, members of High Council of Justice, attorneys, prosecutors, representatives of international and non-governmental organizations and academic circles.
