The Court establishes the modern standards of communication in the court room

On September 16, 2011, Konstantin Kublashvili, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia, listened the report of the working group regarding the general principles of communication on the court trial. Mr. Jamie McGoldrick, UN Resident Representative and Resident Coordinator in Georgia attended the meeting. 

Within the framework of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice prepared the document regarding the necessary recommendations for the effective communication with parties on the court trial.
The special working group with the following members: judges, experts of law and communication, psychologist, was composed for the preparation of the document.
The general issues on communications, between a judge and parties, are prepared in the final recommendations by the participation of the qualified experts. 

The recommendations on the modern standards of communication have been put in practice and its’ enactment will positively reflect on the image of a judge.

Enactment of the communication standards will change the attitude of citizens towards the court, as the recommendations require the judges to keep the constant contact with court audience and be more favorable with the parties and persons in the court room.
