The exhibition of children art and Human Rights defenders awards ceremony was held at the Supreme Court of Georgia within the framework of 120th anniversary of the Supreme Court building

On December 10, 2014, at the Supreme Court of Georgia was held the event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Palace of Justice and the Human Rights Day. Within the framework of the event there was held a competition - “Judiciary through the Eyes of Child” and the winner paintings were revealed. Pupils from different regions participated in the competition. The paintings were selected from 28 works and the Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Konstantine Kublashvili awarded the winner authors with the certificates and special prizes.
The second part of the event was dedicated to the International Human Rights Day and the Chairman of the Supreme Court within framework of Human Rights Law Week along with the representatives of various universities summarized the campaigns implemented in the field of human rights.
At the end of the ceremony the best human rights defenders were revealed and the Chairman of the Supreme Court together with the Dean of Free University Law School awarded Ms. Nino Lomjaria and Vakhushti Menabde. Human Rights Law University Week was held for the first time in 2014 and it aims to spread the knowledge about human rights issues among the students and youths; to share actively the ideas and opinions about human rights law issues within the cooperation of universities.
