The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia met the Professor of American Law School

On November 24, 2014 the meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia and Texas Law School Dean, Professor James Alphin.
The topic of the meeting was the ,,Introduction to Georgian Judges Judicial Conduct and Ethics issues’’.
American trainer, Professor James Alphin will train Georgian judges, who, in the future, as their American colleagues, will share their experience and knowledge to the Georgian judges.
Judicial conduct and ethics combine such important values, as: Judicial independence, impartiality, honesty, equal treatment, competence and sensitiveness. In this regard, deepening the knowledge of the judicial reform is one of the important priorities.
Representatives of international organizations were also attending the meeting.
The project will be implemented through the ,,Judicial Independence and Legal Empowerment’’, which is also supported by the East-West Management Institute and US Agency for International Development (USAID).
