The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia held the meeting on the standards of well-founded sentence

On November 25, 2014 at ‘’Marriott Tbilisi’’ Hotel,  by the initiative of the Supreme Court of Georgia, was held the working group meeting on the standards of well-founded sentence.

The working group on the standards of well-founded sentence was set up about one year ago. This group has already prepared important recommendations and suggestions. Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Konstantine Kublashvili has opened the meeting.

Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia mentioned through the comments to the media that high standards of well-founded sentence are very important and Judiciary is working in many areas to have these standards on high level. As Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia mentioned, presentation of prepared recommendations by the working group is expected to be held in January 2015.

The Judges, representatives of International Organizations and academics were attending the meeting.

The Meeting was organized by the Council of Europe.
