Training For Law Journalists

On May 31 and June 1, 2014, in Kvareli, at the Hotel “Royal Batoni” the training for the media representatives was held.
The training was attended by 35 journalists from various media organizations who are working on legal issues. The seminar was opened by the Chairman of the Tbilisi City Court Mr. Mamuka Akhvlediani and talked about the main directions of the judiciary reform, on the achieved results and the new challenges, from 2005 to the present.
The Deputy Director of the High School of Justice Ms. Ketevan Kvinikadze introduced to the journalists the structure and the main directions of the activity of High School of Justice, as well as presented judicial functions of the House of Justice. The election administration official Mr. Archil Anasashvili provided the journalists with the information on covering the problems of election disputes and the application procedures.
The Head of the Charter of Journalistic Ethics Ms.Tamar Rukhadze prepared the theme - “Journalistic Ethics and Coverage of Legal Issues” turned out to be the most interactive.
The training was organized by the Supreme Court of Georgia and the German Society for International Cooperation.
