The National Center of Manuscripts with the support of the Supreme Court of Georgia implemented the project - “Digitalization of original historical documents and the database”.
Within the frame of the project 5000 historical documents texts which are protected at the National Center of Manuscripts, were transferred into digital format (digitalization), which provides reliable protection for them.
The program of database was designed specifically for the project. With the aid of this database the interested persons can search the names of the historical figures and geographic data mentioned in the documents. It is also possible to establish who wrote the document and who approved it, as well as whose signature and the seal is on the document. In the various fields of database there are defined the type of the document, the date of writing, the size, material, the ink and spelling and punctuation features.
