International Seminar of Judges Opens in Tbilisi

On February 21, 2014, within the cooperation of High School of Justice and the International Organization "Institute for Central and East European Law Initiative" (CEELI Institute) opened the Judges International Seminar on: “Fight against corruption and the managing of public pressure on the Judiciary.”

The International Seminar will last for two days and it will be attended by both Georgian and foreign judges. In addition, the United States federal judge is invited as an expert. In the framework of the event there will be exchanged the regional and international experience on the issues such as the fight against corruption and managing the public pressure on the Judiciary.

One of the goals of the Institute for Central and East European Law Initiative (CEELI Institute) is to promote the transition states to launch the system, which in turn, provides professional growth of the personnel working in the judicial system and the judges.

Within the two-day event the memorandum of understanding was signed between the High School of Justice and the Institute of Central and East European Law Initiative (CEELI Institute), which is the foundation for close cooperation between the parties and the future implementation of the similar events.
