On January 24, 2014, the meeting of the working group was held in the Supreme Court. The aim of the working group is to elaborate the guideline proposals on the form and validity of judgments on criminal cases and stylistic improvements of the texts.

The issue of validity of judicial decisions is one of the main priority directions of the judicial reform. Dozens of trainings during the years were conducted for judges on the problematic issues of validity of judgments. At this point, by the order of the Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili the special commission has been set up, which will elaborate the guideline proposals on the form and validity of judgments on criminal cases and stylistic improvements of the texts before December 31, 2014, for the judges of Common Courts on the basis of analysis of the accumulated materials and on the basis of court practice study and generalization.

The commission will be headed by the Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili. The Commission consists of the judges (from all the instances ), along with the famous law professors, lecturers, former members of the Supreme Court, as well as representatives of international organizations, including the U.S. Department of Justice, German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation and the European Union.

By the implementation of the guideline proposals developed by the Commission in our reality, it is expected to increase the degree of validity of judicial decisions, which will ultimately increase the efficiency of the court and the public confidence towards the judiciary.
