The New Exhibits Are Added to the “Museum of Justice”

On December 24, 2013, at the “Museum of Justice” of the Supreme Court of Georgia the new exhibition was opened. The four new exhibits are added to the “Museum of Justice”.

Among of them are: Decision delivered and signed by Ilia Chavchavadze; several extracts from Georgian Historical Legal Documents describing the traditions of New Year congratulations. The documentary materials are prepared from the historical documents during the reign of King George “the Bright”, from “Georgian History” by Vakhtang Batonishvili and from the books by Mamia Gurieli describing the endowment of serfs and lands. 

The event was attended by the representatives of scientific societies, the heads of various educational institutions, judges and the Members of the High Council of Justice. 

The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia addressed to the invited guests and talked about the importance of the “Museum of Justice”. Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili also talked about the new exhibits and at the end of the event rewarded the honored scientists with the memorable gifts.

The director of National Centre of Manuscripts Mr. Buba Kudava also talked about importance of the "Museum of Justice" and the cooperation with the Supreme Court of Georgia. According to Mr. Kudava many projects were implemented with the support of the Supreme Court that is important to the history of the popularization of Georgian law.

“The Museum of Justice” has been already functioning during eight months and it has been visited by hundreds of people.
