“The Judicial system is not only the courts; there are the institutions that are related to the administration of justice. Therefore, our goal has always been and will always be in future the proper operation of all the institutions that are involved in the administration of justice. I think that we need a closer cooperation to the Bar Association, it is an experience we had when we worked with the lawyers in legislative amendments. We offered to the lawyers to be involved in the selection of themes and issues to be discussed by the cooperation group with the court. We are ready to take more active steps in this direction; the bilateral cooperation, first of all, affects the quality of justice administration.”
The Chairman of Georgian Bar Association Mr. Zaza Khatiashvili also stressed on the importance of strengthening cooperation with journalists.
The meeting was held by the initiative of the Chairman of the Supreme Court.
