The Members of the High Council of Justice discussed the draft amendments of the Judicial Conference Regulations
On May 24, 2013 the session of the High Council of Justice was held.
At the session of the High Council of Justice the draft amendments of the Judicial Conference Regulations was discussed.
Before the session start, the Chairman of the Supreme Court talked to the journalists about the importance of the amendments in the Conference Regulations.
After the Parliament of Georgia initiated the amendments to the Organic Law of Common Courts of Georgia, implementation of the amendments in the Judicial Conference Regulations became the urgent issue. The main change relates to the election rules of members of the High Council of Justice and Administrative Committee. The members are elected by the Judicial Conference.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia called upon the all interested persons to get involved actively in the discussion of the draft amendments prepared by the Supreme Court.
“Our goal is to make the discussions on the amendments to the Judicial Conference Regulations public and open. The online version of the project of the amendments is on the web-page of the Supreme Court and all the interested persons may send their own suggestions”, – said Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili.
At the meeting with the journalists Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili once again confirmed that the Judicial Conference will be held on June 9, 2013.
