The Conference at the Supreme Court of Georgia

On May 22, 2013, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili opened the Conference on: “Distribution of Power, judicial independence and factor of trust toward the public institutions”.
The Judges from Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Japan, Uzbekistan and Georgia participated in the Conference. The practical issues in criminal law of foreign countries were discussed during the conference and the participants shared their experience.
The Conference was initiated and organized by the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law and with the financial support of DAADE and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.
The Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law is actively involved in the process of criminal justice reforms in transition countries and give the recommendations to the reform implementing agencies, and also carry out global scale comparative studies in the direction on of Criminal Law and Criminology.
The Conference will be closed on May 24, 2013.
