“The Museum of Justice” was opened at the Supreme Court of Georgia

On May 15, 2013, the event dedicated to the “Day of Judge” started with the opening ceremony of the “Museum of Justice”.

“The Museum of Justice” was opened by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Georgia Mr. Konstantin Kublashvili, by the Minister of Justice Ms. Tea Tsulukiani and by the Ex-Vice Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Mr. David Tskhadadze. Among the invited guests were the authorities of culture and higher education institutions and the persons who participated in the quest of museum exhibits. 

All the exhibits and the attributes placed in the museum are linked historically to the judiciary.

“You all are aware that the building of the Supreme Court of Georgia is the historical monument and each room and the session hall has its historical value. That is why we try to keep all these things in sacred and introduce the building to the future generations as the monument, also the several exhibits, and the necessary attributes for the Judiciary which are kept for years in the Supreme Court of Georgia. 

This was the basis for the idea that right here, in the Supreme Court, to create the “Museum of Justice”. It will be open for all the interested persons. We tried all the things that are associated with the Judiciary, to display and give young people the opportunity to view the history of the Judiciary", - said Mr. Konstantin Kublasvili at the museums opening ceremony.

The Minister of Justice Ms. Tea Tsulukiani said that our nation has a great history of the legal culture and we should never forget this.

The event day dedicated to the “Day of Judge” will be closed at Rustaveli State Theatre with gala reception and the performance.
