Information Concerning the Electoral Disputes

On October 15, 2012, the Speaker Judge of the Supreme Court of Georgia Mrs. Nino Kadagidze held the briefing.
The Speaker-Judge declared:
According to the present situation, examination of the principal number of Parliamentary Elections 2012 cases is solved.
Since October 1, 25% (18 claims) were satisfied fully or partially from 70 lawsuits, 1 claim was dismissed, 7 claims were withdrawn because of the expired law established time limits or the claim was suit by the unauthorized person. One case was terminated because the subject of the dispute was not existed. Approximately 61% of claims (43 claims) were dismissed because the motivation was unjustified or uncertain.
11 election precincts were annulled by the court decisions on the basis of the final record. Among of them are: №35 Khashuri election district - 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 13, 45, and 46 precincts’ closing records;
№57 precinct’s closing records of №23 Bolnisi election district, where the commission of election district had to recalculate the bulletins. As for the №49 election precinct of №11 election district, the majoritarian polling results were annulled and the commission of election district had to recalculate the bulletins and draw up the new summarizing record.
It is noteworthy that only 36 cases were appealed from 70 cases examined by the First Instance Court.As you all already know, yesterday, on
October 14, there was held repeat polling in those precincts, which were annulled by the court decision. At this time no claim is submitted before the court.
