Presentation of the Commentary (Vol. 2) to the Civil Code of Georgia

EWMI/PROLoG, in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), organized a presentation of the second volume of the Commentary to the Civil Code of Georgia, which was published with assistance of the Georgian representative in the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), Doctor of Law, Professor Lado Chanturia. The authors of the book are doctors of law Levan Totladze, Giorgi Rusiashvili, Zurab Chechelashvili and Tamar Shotadze.

The Supreme Court of Georgia hosted the event. Nino Gvenetadze, the Chairperson of the Supreme Court and HCoJ , welcomed the guests.  She emphasized the importance of the publication and its role for the legal community, and stressed the need for further publications.

The audience was also addressed by the head of the project EWMI/PROLoG Giorgi Chkheidze, and the Program Leader of GIZ, Thomas Meyer.

Finally, Professor Lado Chanturia, and the Editor in Chief of the Commentary, addressed the participants. They thanked all the authors working on the second volume of the Commentary on the Civil Code and expressed appreciation for their work and professionalism. Lado Chanturia stated that he will be happy if the work continues and the third volume of the Commentary to the Civil Code is published.
