Judge Allyson K. Duncan at the Supreme Court

Within the frame of the project “ Promoting the Rule of Law in Georgia” (PROLoG) U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) the Supreme Court of Georgia welcomed Allyson K. Duncan Judge, U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Allyson K. Duncan Judge of U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, was nominated by George W. Bush in 2003 .
Judge Duncan is the first African-American female, who was appointed a judge in North Carolina . Afterwards she was elected as a President of North Carolina’s Bar Association.
Judge Allyson Duncan was welcomed by the deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Chairperson of the Chamber of Civil Cases, Mzia Todua. The meeting dedicated to the standards of judicial independence in Georgia and the U.S., was of high interest as judges of civil and administrative chambers received answers to all the questions of their interest.
