EU-Georgian Subcommittee on Justice, Freedom, Security

Subcommittee meeting on Justice, Freedom and Security within the framework ofAssociation Agreement between Georgia and the European Union took place on 24 April 2018 in Brussels.

The meeting was hosted by the head of Division Eastern Partnership bilateral, European External Action Service, Dirk Schuebel, and from Georgian side, the delegation was led by Nugzar Dundua, Head of EU Law Department at Ministry of Justice of Georgia  

The workshop covered those important projects and activities implemented by the Government of Georgia and judiciary in 2017. 

 The Supreme Court of Georgia was represented by the head of Communication and Coordination department, Ana Shalamberidze. She introduced the events implemented  during the last years and spoke about proposals made by the Supreme Court of Georgia within the Working Group of the Parliament of Georgia on independence, impartiality and accountability of judges. Additionally, she talked about the implemented and ongoing projects in the field of information technologies in the common courts system of the Supreme Court of Georgia.
