UNHCR Regional Representatives Handed Books over to Supreme Court of Georgia

Representatives of UNHCR regional office in the South Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia), Nino Kajaia and Tornike Tsagareishvili visited the Supreme Court of Georgia, and handed over books for the Supreme Court library .
Main topics of the books are international refugee law and religious rights, conventions against torture and inhuman treatment as well as refugee status, international criminal cases, comments and practice of the European Court of Human Rights.
Among the books are: “The Rights of Refugees under International Law “, “Refugee Protection in International Law – UNHCR’s Global Consultations on International Protection “ , “International Criminal Law Cases & Commentary , International Refugee Law and Socio-Economic Rights “, “The Refugee Crisis and Religion”.
The meeting was attended by the Judge of the Civil Cases Chamber , Ekaterine Gasitashvili who thanked the guests for the precious gifts on behalf of the Chairperson of the Supreme Court and HCoJ , Nino Gvenetadze.
The meeting participants expressed willingness to continue working on implementation of mutual projects.
