Judge Nino Bakakuri at CEPEJ meeting in Strasburg

May 15-17, The judge of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Georgia Nino Bakauri left for Strasburg to attend the meeting of the Working Group of The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ)
During the meeting the attendees will discuss the preparation of the next edition of the report "European judicial systems - Efficiency and quality of justice".) and the challenges faced by the judicial systems of the member countries of the European Council .
The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice established on 18 September 2002, is a judicial body, composed of experts from all the 47 member States of the Council of Europe. Its aim is to improve the efficiency and functioning of justice in the member States and to develop the implementation of the instruments adopted by the Council.
The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice prepares benchmarks, collects and analyses data, defines instruments of measure and means of evaluation, adopts documents, reports, advice, guidelines, and action plans. It develops contacts with specialists, non-governmental organizations, research institutes and information centers, organizes hearings, and promotes networks of legal professionals.
The report "European judicial systems - Efficiency and quality of justice" is prepared in every two years
The evaluation report will be published on 4 October 2018 and involves the state of justice of European countries from 2016 to 2017. "
