Presentation of the Final Report on Activities of the High Council of Justice

On December 20, 2017 a meeting was held at the Plenum Hall of the Supreme Court of Georgia concerning the final report on activities carried out by the High Council of Justice in the period of June 2013-May 2017. The former members of the High Council of Justice found it important to organize this kind of meeting in order to preserve institutional memory of the Council activity.

Former members of the High Council of Justice had presentations on different important issues of the development of the Judiciary in Georgia: Eva Gotsiridze- Impartiality and Independence of Justice; Tamar Alania - Accountability of the judicial system; Kakha Sopromadze and Shota Getsadze- Efficiency of Justice and Quality Enhancement; Vakhtang Tordia- Accessibility and Transparency of Justice, Relations with Society and Media.

The meeting was attended by representatives of executive, legislative and judicial branches of government, as well as international and non-governmental organizations.
