The Chairperson of the Supreme Court and High Council of Justice Nino Gvenetadze took part in the Forum Organized within the Frames of the Campaign “Justice Requires!”

 On May 11 of 2016  the Chairperson of the Supreme Court and High Council of  Justice  -  Nino Gvenetadze  participated in the Social Forum concerning  the topic: “The Reform of the Court System of Georgia – Further Steps”  organized by the coalition “for the Independent and  Transparent Justice”  within the frames of the  campaign  “Justice Requires!” The Forum was held in the Hotel “Radisson” in Tbilisi.   

Recommendations of the coalition  on the issues of selection and appointment of the judges, allocation of cases and appointment of the chairpersons of courts were discussed at the Forum.

The representatives of the authorities from the  executive, legislative and court branches, members of the High Council of Justice, legal practitioners, chairman of the Lawyers’ Association  and experts of that field participated in the Forum. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the donor  organizations, NGO sector and  mass media.
