The Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice Nino Gvenetadze will pay the official visit to France

The Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the High Council of Justice Nino Gvenetadze, is officially invited in France, Strasbourg on January 29 of current year, to the seminar: “The large-scale violation of human rights facing the international and national courts", that is organized by the Council of Europe. Similar event is celebrated annually on the start of the new legal year by the European Court of Human Rights and is dedicated to various actual issues. The participants of the event are the Chairpersons of the Supreme Courts of the Council of Europe’s member states, also the Chairpersons of the Constitutional Courts and prosecutors. This years workshop will consist of two parts: 1. Genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes; 2. Terrorism.
Within the official visit on January 28 and 29, the meetings of the Chairperson of the Supreme Court and the High Council of Justice are scheduled with the Council of Europe Secretary General - Thorbjorn Jagland, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights - Nils Muižnieks and with the President of the European Court of Human Rights - Guido Raimondi.
The workshop will be closed with the solemn session, which will be headed by the President of the European Court of Human Rights Guido Raimondi and the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Poland - Andrzey Rzeplinski.
